How Do I Create an Account in the Accessibility Site as a Designer?

Updated on

This article will help you create an account in the Accessibility Site used by the Systems and Innovation Technology team and the Disability Office of BYU-Idaho to track the work flow of transcripts in online courses.

Instructions

1. Go to https://byui-accessibility-redemption.web.app/2.

2. Select "Sign Up" from the available options.

3. Fill out the necessary information and select "Designer" for your role.

4. Your homepage should look like the image below. It will contain a place to request transcripts (1) and you should be able to see the status of any transcript (2).

FAQ
  1. What can I submit for accessibility purposes using this tool?
    • Currently you can submit video, audio, slide (PowerPoint, Google Slide, Captivate, Articulate, etc), and full course requests.
  2. How long does a transcript take?
    • If it is a Priority 1 ADA request, we can have them completed within 24 hours. All other transcript requests will be completed as soon as possible, in order of priority.
  3. Who do I contact if my account does not work or I am having problems?
    • Please reach out to Corey Moore at ext. 1525 and he will help address any problems you might be encountering.
Known Issues
  1. Tiles vs. table - We usually organize the data as a table, but with a recent update, it reverted to the tiled appearance you see now. It will be fixed in the near future.
  2. Filters on Master not working - The filters function on the Master tab is not currently working. We hope to get this functionality back in place within a week or so.
  3. Limit of 25 pages - The technology this is based on is what limits this and we will have this updated so that it is not limited to only 25 pages.
