In order to create a child class of Maple TA for your Canvas course, first go to your modules in Canvas then click on the "+" button next to the module where you would like to create the child class.

Choose "External Tool" from the list of options then scroll down and click on "MapleTA V1.1".

Scroll down to the bottom and add a page name for the item. Select the option to load in a new tab then click "Add Item".

Now, click on the item that you just created. Make sure that you publish the item so that others may access the link.

Click the button to load the course in a new window.

Click the "New Class" button.

Fill out the information on the page. You will need to make sure that the class name is correct and the you are inheriting content from the correct course. When you are finished, click the "Submit" button.

Now that your class has been created, you will need to create a link that will take anyone who clicks on it to the homepage of the course in Maple TA. To do this, simply click the "Link to Class Home" button on the page. Make sure that the correct course is selected that you want to link to.

You have now successfully created a new child class in your module that has been linked to your Maple TA class homepage.
