Instructors can share pages, quizzes, assignments, discussions, and entire courses to the Commons for other instructors to use.

Select Resource

Find the resource you want to share.  Click the options button (the 3 dots on the right side) and select "Share to Commons."

To share a whole course, the "Share to Commons" button is found in the Settings tab of the course.

Set Up Sharing and License

  1. Check the box that says "All of BYU-Idaho."
  2. Choose the appropriate license from the dropdown menu (if you have questions about which one to choose, click "Help Me Choose" for an overview of what each license means).
  3. Clicking "Add Additional Information" will allow you to add any other details about license or use.

Set Up Metadata

Fill out the metadata to summarize the type of resource you are sharing.  The required fields are Title, Description, and Image (not shown).

(Optional) Specify Grades and Outcomes

You can adjust the range of grades meant for your resource using (1) the dropdown menus or (2) the slider.  By default, it is set for all levels.
