Completing the BYU-Idaho Grant Application

What is the BYU-Idaho Grant (formerly known as Thomas E. Ricks Grant)?

The BYU-Idaho Grant is intended to assist students at BYU-Idaho who show financial need and/or academic merit. For more information on eligibility as well as how to apply for this grant, please see BYU-Idaho Grant.
This section is now removed from the Tuition FAQ and should be placed on the One Stop Financial Aid page. 


Step 1: Navigate to myBYUI and search "Grant application" in the search bar at the top.

Step 2: From the results list, select "Grant Application"

A page with information concerning the BYU-Idaho Grant will open.

Step 3: Select "BYU-Idaho Scholarship Application" towards the bottom of the page to open the application.

Step 4: On the next screen, select the option that best suits your current situation

Step 5: The application will load and you will select "Begin the (Year of Application) BYU-Idaho Grant Application"

Step 6: The next page will contain the instructions that you will need to read and then you will select "Begin" to commence with the application. There are multiple information fields to fill out, and keep in mind that it is recommended that you complete both your FAFSA and this application by the priority deadline of March 1st.

We encourage you to apply to Non-BYUI Scholarships as well!

Good Job! Now you can apply for the BYU-Idaho Grant.

After submitting your application, you will see it in the Recently Submitted section. You can check the status of your application by emailing [email protected].
