Setting Up Screensteps

This article will walk you through how to set up your screensteps account and how to log in.

Signing in as a Screensteps Administrator

The first thing you will need to do is sign in to as an administrator.

1. Follow the link.

2. Select Sign In in the top right.

1. In the Account name field (shown above) type in BYU-Idaho.

2. Click the Find Account button.

The next step will be the login window. You may have your own account, or you may have been assigned to use a group account. Enter the credentials here.

Click on Admin to access the backend of our Screensteps repositroy, You may see a different set of Sites depending on your user priveledges assigned by your administrator.

Installing the Screensteps Software

Download the screensteps software for your correct operating system here:

You may need a system administrator to set up the software for the first time on your computer.

Open Download

Open the download.


Click on the Run button to allow the installer to run.


Click the Next button.


1. Click the Circle for I accept the agreement.

2. Click the Next button.


Click the Next button.

Click the Next button.

Click the Next button.

Click the Install button. 

The software will install. Once it is done, it will automatically progress to the next screen.

Click the Finish button.

Site Sign In

In the text field, type in:


Click the Next button.

Log In

1. Enter your username and password.

2. Click the Log In button.

Open Web Browser App

Click on the Open Web Browser App button.

You may be prompted again to sign in.
