Connecting to Wi-Fi on a Computer

Updated on

Having access to Wi-Fi is important to your success as a BYU-Idaho student, so don’t go without it on campus. Since the process of connecting to the BYU-Idaho Wi-Fi will vary depending on your computer’s operating system, find your device below for tailored instructions on connecting to the Wi-Fi. Check out our tips at the bottom of this article if you are having problems with your Wi-Fi connection.

In order to access Canvas and other important resources, make sure that you are connected to the BYUI network, not the BYUI_Visitor network. For network security, the BYUI_Visitor network restricts access to some sites.

If you have recently changed your BYUI password and are having trouble connecting to the Wi-Fi, you will need to forget the BYUI Wi-Fi and reconnect. See Forgetting Wi-Fi for instructions.
