How Do I Install Kaltura Capture?

Get Started

Go to video.byui.edu and login with your account.

Click on the "+ ADD NEW" menu to access the dropdown menu.

After June 1st we will see both the original Record a Presentation option and the new Record a Presentation (New) option. The Record a Presentation (New) will be the New Capture Software. Click it.

Download the software according to your OS.

Installation for Windows

On Windows, Microsoft Teams will need to be closed before installation.

After the download is completed, click on the executable file

Wait for the installation wizard to open and click Next

If you see this message, click Install

Installation for Mac

After the download is completed, click on the executable file

Then, drag the Kaltura Capture icon to the Applications folder

The application should automatically download

Finish

Now go back to video.byui.edu, and after you are logged in, click on the "+ ADD NEW" and select "Record A Presentation (NEW)"

Click on "Open Kaltura Capture"

If you want your browser to automatically open Kaltura Capture, click on the check box next to "Always open these types of links in the associated app"

That's it! Now you can start using the new Kaltura Capture interface.
