How Do I Use Conditional Formatting?

Below are instructions on how to use conditional formatting

Format data by colors and numerical value.

  1. Highlight the area you want to add conditional formatting.
  2. Go to the home tab.
  3. Click on Conditional Formatting.
  4. Select one of the last three options.

The first option will show bars inside the cells, the second option will show scales of color in the cells, and the last option will show different icons inside the cells.

Format the data by special conditions.

  1. Highlight the area you want to add conditional formatting.
  2. Go to the home tab.
  3. Click on Conditional Formatting.
  4. Select Highlight Cells Rules.
  5. Choose any of the options, and type the number required in the box.
