How Do I Create A Chart In Excel 365?

Below are instructions on how to create and edit a chart in excel.

Insert a chart using data.

1. Click on the graph.

2. Select the Chart Design tab.

3. Select the option to Add Chart Element.

4. Select Data Labels option.

5. Select the "More Data Label Options..."

Switch Row/Column on a chart

1. Click on the graph.

2. Select the Chart tab.

3. Select the Switch Row/Column icon.

Insert Axis Titles

1. Click on the chart.

2. Select the Chart tab.

3. Click on Axis Titles.

4. Choose which Axis title you want to insert.

5. Select how the Axis title will show on the chart and  type down the text for the axis.

 

Insert a Chart Title and Legend

1. Click on the chart.

2. Select the Chart tab.

3. Click on Chart Title with the option of Above chart. Type the text on the box.

4. Click on Legend. Choose one of the options to position your legend on the chart.

Insert Data Labels

1. Click on the chart.

2. Select the Chart tab

3. Click on Data Labels.

4. Choose one of the options to position the Data Labels in the chart.
